Manama : The New Horizon School observed the Earth day yesterday with a view of creating an awareness of Mother Earth among the young generation. Each class was given a topic in advance to work on.
The students of grade 1 were engrossed in vegetable carving. Grade 2 students recreated a rainy day in their classrooms with giant clouds, smiling raindrops and happy children playing in the rain.
‘Stones and pebbles’ was the theme for grade 3 students who made breath-taking views out of stones. The students of grade 4 worked on collages on natural resources.
Grade 5 students artistically and informatively depicted marine life in their classrooms through outstanding mural work. Students of grade 6 turned trash into treasure by creating paper mache lanterns, wall hangings and decorative pieces.
