BCCI to hold General Assembly, says Nass

Manama Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) will hold its 29th General Assembly Meeting on Sunday at 4:00 pm in Kingdom Hall on the 1st floor of the Chamber’s building “Bait Al Tijjar. 

The meeting, BCCI Chairman Sameer Nass said, will discuss ratification of the Minutes of the Ordinary General Assembly Meeting held on 17 April 2017, Annual Report of the Board of Directors on the Chamber’s activities for the year 2017, financial situation and the External Auditor’s Report for the financial year 2017 and appointment of an External auditor, and any other business.

The General Assembly Meeting will be valid with the presence of 200 members or 10% of the number of the registered members, whichever is less according to Article No. (19) of the Chamber’s Decree Law.

Inviting all registered members to the event, Nass said, “If there is no quorum at the first meeting the form will be postponed to 29th April 2018 at 4:00 pm.” 

The meeting, Nass said, will be valid with any number of members attending, and the decisions will be taken by a majority of the present members.”

However, if the votes equalled, “the side of the Chairman of the meeting will be cast.”

All members, who had paid their annual fees seven days prior to the meeting will be allowed to participate and exercise their right to vote. 

Members should also apply for entry cards, which will be issued by the Chamber on the day of the meeting. Original ID document (Passport, Identity card) are required to attend the meeting.
