Support for labour unions, citizens’ rights stressed
Manama : Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, has expressed the constant parliamentary support for trade union work in the kingdom, stressing the leadership’s care for and interest in the workers.
The protection or the rights of all the citizens and the adoption of the issues and demands enjoy the interest and attention of the Council of Representatives, noting that the council’s Utilities Committee welcomes communication and cooperation with all trade unions in the kingdom.
This came as he received Gulf Air’s National Labour Union Chairman, Ahmed Al-Kuwaiti, and members, in the presence of the Services Committee, MP Abbas Al-Madhi.
They discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Council of Representatives and workers’ trade unions.
They also discussed the remarks of workers and the labour union.
