Al Kitbi of Al Raood stud wins

ManamaSalem Hamad Al Kitbi of Al Raood Stud was crowned by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, Honourary President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) as winner of HM the King Endurance Cup, featuring a 120-km course. 

The eventual victor completed the race in 4.07.50 hours, travelling at a speed of 29 km/h, leaving the second place to UAE’s Rashid Al Baloushi (4.08.31), while third place went to his country fellow Abdulla Ghanim Al Marri (4.08.45). 

The event witnessed the participation of a pool of prominent local competitors as well as from UAE.

The Cup included an event for young participants, which was won by Abdulla Ali of UAE, who posted a time of 4.40.10 hours. In second came Bahraini participants Dana Abdulrahman Al Saeed, while Rashid Ahmed Al Marri of UAE took third place. 

After rewarding the winners, HH Shaikh Nasser expressed his utmost thanks and appreciation to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for sponsoring this race, stating that such a sponsorship was a source of motivation to all the participants to produce their maximum efforts. 

Shaikh Nasser welcomed Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai as well as Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai on the occasion of their visit to the Kingdom.

Shaikh Nasser also praised the role of the sponsoring company GFH for contributing to its tremendous success. 

In the same context, Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), President of (BREEF) expressed happiness following the enormous success of the event. 

Shaikh Faisal valued the directives of Shaikh Nasser to prepare early for organising HM the King Endurance Cup to ensure its enormous success.
