Ensuring safety ultimate goal, says Southern Governor
Manama : Southern Governor, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, yesterday visited a Camping Service Centre and launched a safety awareness campaign for campers.
The campaign falls in line with the governor’s keenness to put in place all safety requirements for the campers and desert visitors.
Being among the multiple and diverse initiatives taken to ensure campers’ safety, the campaign, Shaikh Khalifa said, aims to address all phenomena and behaviours that would help protect campers and their property.
Upon arrival, the governor was welcomed by Southern Police Director-General, officers and officials and was informed about the on-going preparations for the campaign. He also witnessed the launch of a field training session on best ways to deal with the fire.
Shaikh Khalifa also visited a motorcycle rental facility and inspected various safety equipment and their commitment to safety requirements.
The governor asserted that awareness-raising efforts will continue through many other initiatives, including the formation of a governorate work team.
