Kingdom gets a touch of Rajasthan culture

ManamaMore than 750 people immersed in the lore and lure of Rajasthan culture and food as they attended the “Padharo Mhare Des” (PMD) event held in Kingdom. 

The third edition of  the annual event, organised by Gallure Events, was held by Rajasthanis in Bahrain (RIB) at Tree of life, in cooperation with the Embassy of India . 

 “Padharo Mhare Des”  is one of the welcome phrases in Rajasthan which invites people to be their guest, enjoy their hospitality and know their culture and people.

 Chief Guest of the event, Indian Ambassador  Alok Kumar Sinha, and Farouk Almoayyed, the guest of honour inaugurated a special tent highlighting the ‘Investment opportunities in India’. 

Mohammed Sajid Izhar Ulhaq, chairman of Bahrain Asian traders committee was the special guest for the event.  One of the key performers for the evening was Kesar Dev Marwari who has appeared in many comedy shows and television shows in India.  

The Dhol group enthralled the audience with a  spectacular combination of Dhol fusion music. 

Meera Sisodia, First secretary of Indian Embassy presented achievement medals to young upcoming talents for excelling in  academics as well as in other co-curricular activities.

“Our event objective is to promote and showcase a glimpse of art, beauty, vibrancy and rich cultural tradition of Royal Rajasthan. We are thrilled that the third edition of our event witnessed the highest number of attendance till date and feedback from all those who attended has been very positive and encouraging,” RIB Chairman Alok Gupta said 

The event received best wishes from various royal families from Rajasthan, Government of Rajasthan and various prominent social organisations across India.”
