Futsal League closing ceremony and finals today

ManamaThe closing ceremony and the final matches of the Fifth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls will be held today, under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities, at Khalifa Sports City Hall in Isa Town.

The organising committee announced that the first match is the girls’ tournament between Team Will and Team Determination at 5pm, followed by Movement Disability and Special Olympics Teams in the disabled tournament at 6:30pm and concluding with the young centres and unregistered clubs tournament between Muharraq Youth Centre and Sanad Youth Centre at 7:45pm.

Shaikh Khalid underlined that there are no losers in the final matches as the qualified teams showed exceptional performance in the first rounds of the league and fought their ways through to the final match.

Shaikh Khalid said that the league served the goals it was launched for, which is to empower Bahraini youth and the sports movement in general and strengthen the local futsal sport and wished all the finalists good luck and success and called upon the fans to attend the matches and support their teams.

Salama Ateeq, Head of the Girls’ Tournament Committee of the league, thanked Shaikh Khalid for directing to include girls’ teams for the first time in the league, aiming to empower girls’ teams and engage them with different activities and competitions and also appreciation the efforts by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs in organising the league and wished both teams success in the final match.
