Referees ready for final matches

Manama : Jassim Mahmoud, Head of the Referees Committee of the Fifth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls and Retired International Referee, said the referees spared no effort in contributing to the success of the league this year.

Mahmoud said the committee had assigned 15 referees, including five internationally approved referees to manage the 147 matches in the three ongoing tournament’s and ready for tomorrow evening’s three finals under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities.

Mahmoud appreciated the generous support of Shaikh Khalid to the local youth and sports movement and highlighted the efforts paid by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs to ensure the success, at the same time he wished the six teams that qualified to the final matches of the league all the best and success.

The finals will see Sanad Youth Centre against Muharraq Youth Centre in the category for youth centres and unregistered clubs, in the girls competition, Team Will takes on Team Determination, wile the People with Disabilities features Movement Disability Team against The Special Olympics Team.

Meanwhile, Minister of Sports Hisham bin Mohammed Al Jowder, praised the support of Shaikh Khalid for his support and patronage of the league and taking the responsibility of embracing the Bahraini youth and sports movement and improving it, in line with the directives of the wise leadership and HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee.

The league comes within the sports and humanitarian initiatives of Shaikh Khalid and is themed #Generations_Meeting.

Trophies and awards for the finalists and individual awards will be presented after the final matches by Shaikh Khalid.
